GPA Calculation Rules
The NCAA calculates GPAs differently than high schools. The NCAA is only concerned about core classes when calculating GPA. Division I universities have specific academic requirements, so refer to the NCAA D I Sliding Scale once you receive your Division I core GPA.
What are core classes?
- Only English, math (algebra 1 or higher), science, social science, foreign language, comparative religion & philosophy are considered core NCAA classes.

Remedial & credit-by-exam classes are NOT considered core classes.
